My Story

THE REAL
VERSION

This is not the highlight reel. It is the actual story of how Faith Christiansen went from live events management to humanitarian work in Africa, nine months in a caravan across Australia, and building a global business on one non-negotiable idea: complexity fails, simplicity scales.

Trained Where It
Counted.

Faith Christiansen holds a Diploma of Travel, Tourism and Events and completed university-level business and marketing with high grades. She left before finishing the degree, not because she was struggling, but because she could already see the curriculum falling behind the industry she was working in. In her first year, she spent more time updating her lecturer's slides from her own practical experience than absorbing new information from them.

From there she moved into live events management for a million-dollar personal development company, producing and running events that put her in rooms with serious operators and taught her what performance under pressure actually looks like. Add training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, decades of work in sales psychology and self-leadership, and tens of thousands of hours of hands-on practice in marketing, business, AI, tech systems and online training, and you have someone who is practitioner-educated in the deepest sense of the word.

"The classroom taught me frameworks. The industry taught me what actually works. I left when the gap between the two became too wide to ignore."

Life Without
Limitations

Before Business Builder Society. Before Social Sellers. Before any of the systems she now teaches, Faith founded Life Without Limitations Foundation. Having lived in Africa and seen ground-level need firsthand, she built a six-figure social enterprise with over 100 affiliates specifically to fund humanitarian work that made a tangible difference.

3,000+ Meals served through the soup kitchen over five years
100+ Affiliates generating revenue for the humanitarian mission

The foundation hired women with disabled children, women who could not find conventional employment, so they could bring their children to work and everyone got a meal. Each reusable sanitary pack included underwear, soap, and washable pads. Practical. Dignified. Repeatable.

The foundation ran for five years. It closed as the result of a divorce and deteriorating safety conditions on the ground that made it impossible to operate responsibly. Faith does not call it a failure. She calls it the work that shaped everything that came after, proof that business, when built with genuine intention, can fund something that actually changes lives.

"I did not get into business to get rich. I am a minimalist. I got into it because businesses are what funds the change in the world that is needed."

A promise kept

Amazon Bestseller.
Full Price. Easter Monday.

After the foundation closed, Faith made a promise she intended to keep. Her mother had passed away, and writing a book had been something she had committed to in her mother's memory. She wrote it. Then she launched it.

The launch date landed on Easter Monday, which she only noticed after the fact. Most advice in the self-publishing world says to discount heavily on launch day, often to 99 cents, to drive volume and rankings. Faith decided against it. She kept the book at full price.

It hit the Amazon bestseller list anyway. Number one in Small Business eBooks. Number two in Entrepreneurship in the Kindle Store. Number seven in Small Business overall. It beat out titles like Profit First. It ranked in both the Kindle and print editions simultaneously, which is genuinely rare. And it did it on a day most people would have called a bad launch window.

"I kept it at full price. I launched on a public holiday by accident. And it hit number one. That is what happens when you stop doing what everyone else tells you to do."

The year of stripping back

Nine Months.
A Caravan. Everything.

Faith had wanted to travel as a nomad for years. She had tested it internationally, a month in Italy exploring whether she could build her life there, before realising the language barrier made it harder than imagined. She had lived in Africa. She understood what it meant to operate in an unfamiliar place with limited infrastructure and figure it out as she went.

So when the place she was renting in Australia was sold, she did not scramble for another lease. She bought a caravan and spent nine months traveling around Australia instead. It was a deliberate choice and a dream she had been talking about for years finally made real.

It was also a masterclass in minimalism. Traveling with only what fit in a caravan forced a question that would shape everything that followed: what do you actually need to run a business, and what have you just accumulated out of habit? The answer was simpler than expected. The right systems. A laptop. Connection. Everything else was noise.

Some people judged her for it. Coaches she had respected wrote her off. She kept going, not because she loved every moment of it, but because stripping a business back to first principles in that way clarifies something no comfortable routine ever could. What survived that year was worth keeping. What did not was worth leaving behind.

"Strip it back far enough and you find out what your business actually runs on. Mine ran on systems I owned and relationships I had built. Everything else was optional."

The idea that changed everything

Lead Yourself.
Own Your Assets.

Faith has been teaching simple systems for seven years. The philosophy has always been the same: when something is complicated, you stop showing up. When you stop showing up, you get no results. Keep it simple enough to execute on the hard days and the results compound over time.

But it was the arrival of AI, and her deep hands-on immersion in what it actually makes possible, that added a new dimension to the philosophy. With AI, you can now own everything. Not just your audience. Not just your content. Everything.

"Your HTML. Your content. Your audience data. Your AI systems as markdown files that work with any model. If it lives in a file you own, no platform can take it from you."

Your website as hand-coded HTML that moves to any host. Your content saved in files that exist on your hard drive before they touch any platform. Your AI systems as structured prompts and markdown files, transferable to any model, not just whichever one is popular this quarter. Your email list as a CSV you downloaded yesterday. Faith stopped recommending annual software plans. Technology moves too fast. AI moves faster. Platform loyalty is a liability when platforms change their algorithms, jack up their prices, or simply disappear.

This is the idea behind Business Builder Society. This is what Faith teaches to coaches, consultants, service providers, and digital creators across Australia, the US, Canada, and Europe. Own your systems. Own your content. Own your audience. Build something that survives whatever comes next, because something always does.
